What inspired the Shower Sock?

In 2008, while playing for a NFL franchise, Ben Utecht contracted a fungal foot infection that was painful and negatively impacted his performance. This injury event inspired the idea to create a product that could help solve the issue of foot infections across the world. Utecht secured the US patent for the Shower Sock and started his production journey with the University of Minnesota Medical Device Department.
